Hey I was wondering if anyone on here knows or does wedding DJs? My friend is getting married in 2011 and is starting to gather info. They found two that will do it for ~ 650 they have found "DJay" and "Midwest Sound" Has anyone herd of them and have any feedback on how well they are? All other ideas are open.
Just don't get a DJ that advertises himself every 10 min by pausing the song and announcing his name. Holy crap was that guy annoying at a wedding I went to. He also started to try and sing/rap with the songs.
Well pm me with info on the date I work with a company that does wedding dj stuff. Decent priceing and coming to the cities is always fun.
i have a friend of mine who runs a dj business, kid is good, prices are good, and he does pretty much whatever event that you would like, i have all of his contact info if you would like.
Do NOT use "the scene" that's who we used and they only played 2 songs my wife pre-requested. Even when she approached the DJ during our reception and requested songs, he didnt play them for her. I'll keep my eyes out. BTW, who is your friend using for linen? You should ask, I may be able to help.
I had the best DJ ever at my wedding, unfortunatly, my wedding was the last wedding he was ever going to do (retired) My brother in law had a good one, I'll see if I cant get his name.
If you are interested we had a really good DJ at our wedding. He didn't advertise at all, he wasn't annoying and the company has won best DJ by MPLS Bride Mag for the last like 4 years in a row. He got all the songs we requested. The website to pick the songs was great. It allows you to listen to and select the songs you want out of their whole libarary and they only bring the songs that you want them to (if you want to get that involved). There was thousands and thousands of songs. Which is cool because then you can weed out the club music and everything else that you don't like. I can get the company name and contact info when i talk to my wife tonight if you are interested. PM me if you want me to look into it.
We used these guys after attending a few great weddings in my family that used them. There have been others who attended my wedding that went with them because of the good time they had at mine. Our dj's name was Chris he was super accommodating even with us via phone on the way to the reception adding removing parts we had planned earlier. A+++ http://www.twincitiesdj.com/index.htm
I have Midwest Sound booked for my wedding next summer. We've booked quite far in advance, so got a killer deal and have found nothing but good reviews about them. So far, we're happy with what they have to offer.
