I have a weird high pitched howling sound coming from my car at 65 and 66 mph no lower or higher. It sounds like its coming from the rear but I'm not 100% sure. The car is a 06 sti and its benn happening since I bought the car about 4000 miles ago. Only mods are a TBE and stage 2 map. Any one have any ideas? Thanks in advance
Wouldn't a wind noise change if its windier out or not? This is very consistant and it never changes pitch. And are the wheel barings a common thing in the sti? I was wondering if it could be something in the rear diff as well.
I think that wheel bearings are common on most Subarus. Usually the fronts go from spirited driving.
Ok well ill have to bring it in and have them looked at. Figured something like that would gradually get louder the faster you go. Thanks for the help
did you park anywhere downtown after dark???? could be a hobo trying to get teh whine (wine) out of your diff.....
