Well I did it, sorry guys :(

I traded off the SVX tonight. Will be sitting at the Chev dealer in Mora tomorrow night. I kept the XT thou, I cant get rid of that. So I'm back to a one Subaru garage now. I needed something to haul stuff in and I didnt want just a pickup so I traded the SVX in on this:

The drums are painted. It needs work but atleast I can work on this one.

I was watching for a Brat but they are all out East or West and I missed the one in Plymouth that was on Ebay. Oh well this will do.

I got the a/c working again in the XT, has power steering again, speed control works now, lowered and new tires. Had the cruise working but it stopped again. I picked up a 85 xt parts car off ebay and been robbing parts off it. The parts car has working air compressor and struts hold air. Just dont think I want to deal with them on my XT.

Anyway, if you see me pull into Firestone some night please dont boo me out of the lot. Maybe I can get the XT in the back

 

You need to get some "magnetic badges" that say BRAT, and stick them on the ol' Rancheroo for trips to Firestone.

Well I changed my mind

Saw the car in the sun today, still had issues with charging system and the guy ran circles around it. Said his mechanic's were busy today and could not look at it. He owns the company, I would think they would look at it. So I brought the SVX home. I need to find a shop to fix it around here now.

Anybody know a good tranny shop that might have a loaner car or just a good shop on the North side to fix the SVX. The car is still under warrenty.

I need someone that will test drive it till it dies which it does more often now and not just drive it 1/2mile and say they cant find anything wrong

 

So you still have the SVX? I will have a good svx tranny soon because I'm taking mine out for the swap. Let me know if you are interested.

I dropped the SVX off at the local forien car shop to have the random killing and the transmission looked at. I still have warrenty on the car for another year and 20,000 miles so I will let them figure it out. Will let ya know what happens. They did a great job figuring out my surging in my XT and I thought it was a very fair price. They called and kept me informed before they did anything and I was very happy with the end results so I give them a thumbs up. Saints Foreign Auto Repair in Princeton, MN

Oh, missed the first question. Yeah, I'm putting in an 02 WRX 5spd.

Let me know how it turns out. I would love to have a 5speed in the SVX. If the warrenty company comes thru and replaces the auto I will be really happy with an auto trans at only a 100.00 copay from me and no work.

If it doesn't I guess I will be looking for a trans. Take good notes and see if you want a job doing mine. lol

 

I'm sure after all the swaps I'm doing....I could get 'er done.

kurt's still got a brat in decent condition, in need of a little labor (he's got all the parts though), for $800....

still have that XT parts car? I need those parts real soon!
