Been driving for almost 2 days. Here we come across the Naveda/California border line and down the hill on i-80 going towards Sacramento. So the roads were kind of curvy, you know. It was at night as well and traffic was minimum. I kept her at 80-90mph around the turns. I see the speed limit sign, "MAXIMUM SPEED 65," but I just kept on going at my pace of 80-90. Around a bend and I see some flashing lights behind me. Humm....that IS a cop car. I go over the a hill top and his lights dissapears. Then over the hill top he comes and Lee tells me to slow down.

I do and he stops behind us.
"You've exceeded the maximum speed limit, may I see your driver's license?" Of course I gave him it and he did his 'thang.' Then after a couple of minutes he comes back.
"Here's your citation. You've exceedd the speed limit. The speed limit on i-80 here in California is 65, have a nice night."

    ......**sigh**......

    $171.75 for it... It's marked down that I did 82mph on a 65mph.
I'll be back in town the 30th
    ....May the lecture begin! LOL

So you were invincible until now... I'm proud of you! :p It's too bad you won't be in Nevada/California to go fight it.

Its too bad you didn't make an effort to get away, I was hoping to see it on Police craziest chase video's. I have never seen a Subaru out run a cop on that show! :D

I guess you guyz are doing the Cannon Ball Run too! Kinda brings back memories! You better hurry cuz there is only a few events left for this season.

Valentine is your friend, esp. on cross-country drives.

Of course he may have nabbed you anyway, but not as likely...

I would have outrun him but I was held back by Lee. .....by his words that is....

There was still 60 more miles of curvy roads ahead and I would have wasted him. Helicopters? Maybe waiting in Sacramento, which is still like 70 miles away....

In my case, I would have tried it. If it was on a straight....I woundn't bother unless I was at speed like 100mph and I pasted him. And if I passed him at 100mph, I'd find a exit and hide out for 15mins or so.

I need a valentine.... time to research.

And that streach is a fun one to fly on.... I used to go driving in the mountans there on the weekends. If you looked there would have been 2 more speed traps if you were not going through during rush hour. They are near the no-break turn outs.
