Stoped by an audi dealership today to see an R8. I can say that it looks amazing and the price(by russian standarts is not so bad) 130.000 euros in base version. They even had a testdrive one, but you have to talk to the manager to take it for a ride. Here is a few shots of it.

I'd be doing a bit more research if I were you. It's not being marketed as a supercar. They know it isn't a supercar. It is in the same class as the 911 and Aston Martin Vantage. Sports cars, to be sure but not in the same category as some of the bigger guns in the automotive world. It would fit into the GT role as well. It's in the same price category as both of the cars I mentioned, it was even tested against a 911 Turbo and acquitted itself very, very well. It handles very well, will do 180+ and with it's all wheel drive is capable of driving in less than perfect weather. 420 hp is plenty in a lighterweight car. The Audi is no Lotus, but it's not a cast iron lump either. I wouldn't call the Lexus a supercar either. The bar has been lifted enough that unless you're pushing over 500hp it's not really going to qualify as a "supercar". Like I said, Audi isn't marketing this as a supercar. Halo car? Yes. Supercar? Nope. The upcoming R10 will likely fill the "supercar" slot in the Audi lineup. Edit: I would put the 911 Turbo and the 911 GT3/GT3 RS into the supercar category and they're less than 500hp. It's not always about sheer horsepower (but it certainly helps).
