What are some recommanded or must watch Horror movies out there? I"m more into "Ghost/spirits" and "Haunting" type of movies. post up some movie names. I might go rent it or buy it if I like it.
Almost any zombie movie is worth watching a few times. Dawn of the dead(the original) and Day of the dead are a couple of my favorites.
Also the Return of the living dead movies and Dead alive, but I would consider them a bit more like horror comedies.
The Orphanage is a newer one and pretty creepy. I'm sure you've seen "The Ring" (or the better version "Ringu") and "Ju-on", both being Japanese "haunting" type of films. Highly recommended from last year is "Let The Right One In" about a little girl vampire, filmed in Sweden. I'll think of some more and add to the list later..
Best zombie flicks: Land of the Dead Fido (hilarious pet zombie movie) Anything by George Romero, and some of the remakes of his movies Evil Dead 1 and 2, and Army of Darkness (all by Sam Raimi, the guy that did the Spiderman movies; he also went back to his roots and released a new one just recently called "Drag Me To Hell" which was f' ing awesome!) Shaun of the Dead I know I'm missing some good ones, but those are all that came to mind so far.
yea, I've seen "The ring" from Jap. version to present version. Saw the grudge too including original version. I"m going to have to see "Let the right one in". Sounds interesting. I've seen one Amityville. I really like it. Anyone know how many parts/version are there? I want to see all of them.
Haven't gotten around to seeing this one yet.. will need to try and remember it once I sign back up with Netflix.
