im living in those apartment building in Brooklyn park on 73 rd ave. I just wanna share, because i am so PISSED right now. When i still owned the WRX, people in the same apartment did SH** to my wrx. And now, i own my TSX not even more than 2 months. My TSX got keyed on both sides from driver door to 1/4 penal TWICE already . Why The **** people do that for? FOR what . And we have to pay for what they did.They arent getting paid to key ppl car right? Im glad that i didnt send my car into the body shop in the 1st time, cuz i knew they r going to do it again.However 2 weeks later, that A**hole did it again . my Driver's door is totaly messed up. O well , screw them. I am going to move out FOR SURE now. Just wonder any place is good.?? I am thinking about Plymouth, New Hope and Maple grove. It need to be safe for car and my budget is less than $900 for 2 bedrooms. thanks guy!!

So where do you go to school and/or work and how far are you willing to drive? I liked the St Anthony village area when I was renting, it's a nice area and not way out in the suburbs. But, as far as being safe for your car, the best bet is to find something with a garage, preferabbly a private garage per car. My old apt had 4 stalls per garage, and people always left their garage doors unlocked, so anyone could get in. But even having your car out of site should help.
i go to school in Brooklyn park. it North Hennepin COmmunity college. i dont care how long i dirve.But prob. less then 15- 20 mins ... as long as my car is SAFE...where is that place?? i wanna loook at the apartments like in this week ..cuz i know the A**Hole gonna do it again since i touched up my car

There's a new development called Silver Lake Village with a bunch of condos and apts. But right next to it is an older apartment complex that they renovated, I know all the garages there are brand new. I think it's called Equinox apts. Otherwise, my friend used to live in apartments down on Kenzie Terrace in St Anthony. It was a pretty nice place with underground parking and most of the surrounding buildings were senior housing, so it was a quiet area. I don't remember the name of it though.

the plymouth area is ok if you stay away from any place taht looks ... eh ..ghetto-ish same goes for crystal/no hope/etc paying more for a place almost always guarantees a garage spot btw.
I lived in a very ghetto apartment on 169. Actually, they burned down not too long ago. It DOES exist.
I live in nordeast and pay not too much at all for my duplex. The garage, well, it hides my car. On the plus side, I am within walking distance of 7 or 8 bars, 2.5mi from downtown. Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine's "Best neighborhood for a pub crawl" award winner FTW!!!!!11111! :cheers2:
I have made it my vow to the society of the twin cities metro to say that No one should ever move into LAURAL VILLAGE. I repeat NEVER move into laurel village. I lived there for two leases... Yes, it is downtown yes it was a high-rise and a nice building... However, the management is horrible. They are intrusive and come in unannounced and rude. For how much I was paying, I should have not been so imposed upon... I did love the River walk apartments. they are an old train storage building just three blocks behind washing and a bit before the river... great location and just great over all place... no garage but my WRX sat our for two leases there and never had a problem the last time they had a car broke into was over five years ago. I asked, before I moved in. lol.
I had my vehicle vandalized twice living at the same apt building. I promised myself if I ever live in another apt. again I will have my own garage accessible to me only and me alone. Also I don't recommend living in A large complex, they seem to be bigger targets for thieves and vandals. You can check with the police in the city you live in to see if they have a multi-housing officer and ask to speak with them to find out crime stats for a particular complex. I have done this before and it has helped me. As to why people do **** like that, I think they are jealous of someone who has a nicer car than them and they are vandals and COWARDS!
Kin, I live right across the street and have never had issues. I also lived in the 5841 building at the same Apt. complex that you live at. You need a garage! Brooklyn Park is good neighborhood.:laugh:
sup josh!! i know.. i did talk to the office, but the only garage they have is behind the 5841 building, which is like 3-4 mins walk. i didnt take the offer cuz its snowing, i assume that A** was gonna stop. Seems not, it happened on Sat. mid night, i bet he/ they were drunk and envyed. watever. I like living here tho, cuz its pretty close to my school, however, too many bad memories here... i Knew they target me. because they did SH** to my WRX too ....

well no ...i didnt mean to anyone. unless they hated my WRX too loud and they targeted me since then. pretty much i just go home right after school. never party in my room. its too late now.. i shoulda have gotten a garage. becuz people here are envy. And the thing that pissed me off was i talked to the office, they said they cant do NOTHING!! WTF!?? shouldnt they are the one to manage the building envirnoments and stuff.. BS!!!
Legally I don't think they can do much for you when it's in the parking lot. Best thing would be to set up a camera to watch your car and catch the vandal. Post him up in court and let him sweat.

They locked me in the laundry room for 2 hours.:eek3: You talk about WTF!? I called my buddy and told him to bring a skill saw and a drop cord...I was going to cut my way out! Instead, he brought a screwdriver and I took the deadbolt apart and escaped. The real deal is, having nice stuff sucks b/c something ****ty always happens! I've had 2 hit and runs on my vehicles in MN. One in St. Paul, and one in Anoka. Brooklyn Park or wherever, you're always going to find asshats everywhere!

I was grabbing my laundry and the maintenance guy locked the door while I was in there. All I had was my cell phone and more quarters for laundry...so I finished drying my stuff while I was waiting for the saw to show up lol. The guy had the nerve to bring security to my apartment to retrieve the lock. I told security to bite me and that the manager would receive the lock the following day. After my talk with the manager, the guy lost his job. And if I was a violent guy...he would have lost teeth too.
im sorry for u man.... but ur cost was way cheaper than mine...lol i hate ppl doing S**T to ppls car. my damage is like $1500, and i will end up paying with cash . cuz i didnt have full coverage yet
Kin, you are a good guy and many people will envy anything you have that is nice, in St. Cloud we don't have these problems... everyone is nice, and all the girls are pretty... and people don't do these awefull things, My house got burglerized lats Wednesday... but I'm sure I deserved it, I mean to say in the most sarchastic way is that it not just us the rain falls on the wicked the rain falls on the rightious .....kharma is a lie.....
