What brake pad kit should I get for Oldsmobile?

    Yeah, you read it right. Oldsmobile. Specifically, my GF's POS 95 Cutless Supreme.


    I ask because of this: When I bought a Raybestos kit for my Subaru it was just pads - nothing else, whereas the OEM kit came with new shims and slides and stuff.


    She needs new rear brake pads and I'd really prefer a kit that came with new little pieces like that since the old ones on my Subaru were in awfully bad shape (guessing hers are too).


    Can anyone tell me who makes decently priced kits that include more than the absolute bare minimum of pads and who sells them?

    Perhaps obviously, pad "quality" itself isn't all that important - not like she's tracking the thing.

    I'm too lazy to drive all over town right now checking every parts place to see. :)

    Carquest or Napa both offer pad kits that come with those extra bits. Chevy/Olds ones will be upwards of 100 for the complete set.

    Just don't get full ceramic.

    indeed, dont waste the money on OEM in this case.
