In the tradition of doing something fun with my winter wheels I am trying to determine what color they shall be this winter. For the past 3 years they have been Dupli-Color Engine Enamel Gold, which is a fantastic color. However 3 years of chipping snow and ice out of them w/ sharp implements has left numerous scratches and what not, so it is time to repaint them.

I have photo shopped a variety of colors. Which you can see, in large form, below. Below are listed the color of paint they would be an any notes that would accompany that color.

1.) Blaze Orange. PS is rough mock up of the color, actual shade may vary
    2.) Dupli-Color Bronze.
3.) Dupli-Color Gold. Same as current
4.) Digital Camo. I might not do this as it would require too much time
5.) Krylon Rhine River Rose. As close as it gets to Cherry Blossom Red, might not be as vibrant as in the picture.
    6.) JDM Green.
7.) Wicked Yellow. Havent looked for a paint to match this yet.

So now it is up to you to decide. This is a continuation of a poll I started on Facebook, so those of you that have already voted on there your vote wont be counted twice ;) The wheels are getting painted on Friday or Saturday, so the poll ends around that time.

If I did it, I would do it right. However it would take alot more time to do. So if it wins by a majority it will happen.

    Paint them flesh.

And who the hell still uses 56k? Isn't that whole "hey I've got a bunch of pics that you dial-up users can't see" routine beyond played out?

haha. The shiny chrome/platinum bling look isnt my thing. Gold is ok since it is but the one I have is fairly matte with not much shine to it. I dont want to be blinging where ever I go, just not my style. Probably increase the chance of my wheels getting stolen to lol

I see the camo is a new favorite. I will look further into the possibilities.

Then let them complain because your pics are of reasonable size. Then also be sure to tell them to join the freakin' 21st century.

Yeah I kind of had that look with the gold. It was unintended as I do not like the packers but it kind of happened.

i think lately, the rim color of choice's been orange...especially for something that you wouldn't care that much for it you get some curbage...that's why that's wat i voted for too...

Well I did some painting. The color turned out a bit more reddish than I was hoping but they definitely stick out and still look good. These are now all ready to go on when the temps drop a little bit more.

I think I might do a mid winter color change, since this paint job didnt turn out the greatest ;-)

Here are some more pictures from the painting process. They will be going on when the temps start to drop again.

The paint is that "Premium Decor" marking paint. you can see the can in one of the pics.

I put the snows on today in preparation for snow & cold temps later in the week. I have only put 10-15 miles on them today and have already gotten a TON of looks ;-).

Here is a before and after. And yes the orange is THAT vibrant.

Thanks. I do think they look better in the picture than they do in person. I did not prime before I put down the paint so you can see all of the scratches and wear areas from prep and the past 3 years. But from over 5-10ft away they look awesome.
