nope, was avoiding being tottaled by some d-bag in a new explorer with his high's on, and ended up hitting the dumb woman in front of me, for some reason she locked up her brakes before the intersection at a green light. her bumper was bent in a little in the back and my hood is toast, my rare 97 grill is in a good million pieces around over by flagship, the bumpers is marked up pretty good, the core support looks to be pushed back, and the latch is all messed up and moved all over. air bags didnt even go off, if i didnt have the harness in there i would be in alot of pain right now caus those seatbelts dont lock unless something tells them to. thank god for sparco

Sorry about your loss. We're glad you're still in one peice and able to tell of your story. S*** could happen to anyone. So was the Explorer going to T-bone you so you accelerated into the car in front of you?

no the explorer was coming up on me with his highs on like a pyscho path on a rampage, he would've rearended me and caused me to hit the van regaurdless, i jolted over to the right towards the curb to avoid being hit by that jack ass and ended up not being able to go anywhere, for some reason the woman in front of me i hit came to a stop at a green light all the sudden so there was no way my 4k+ lbs car could stop, locked em up, and slid right under her car, and of course the d-bag in the explorer just went over a little(still almost clipping my right rear) and drove past us. so now with my awesome 3k+ a year liability insurance i am left with no car and no money, not to mention that i now have gotten two tickets within 24hours. so naturally my obserd insurance is going to be even more now. and i get to go to court and try to defend myself against these bull**** tickets. its odd, it was slow enough for the airbags to not go off but the car is toast in the front

well if you are intersted in fixing it, i know at subaru heaven over in wisc. they have a SVX there for parts. might be able to get what ya need. it really sucks that this happened. however it is a good thing that you had those harnesses.

I would fix it. They are getting more and more rare and it's nice to see people still driving them.

well got the hood somewhat straightened out, had to put on hood pins(apc to boot), i attend HTC in autobody repair so tomorrow hopefully i can pull and fix the core support and check all of that. i am still going to need a passenger side mirror, hood and grill...other than that i think i can get the car back up to speed relitively fast.
