    google works on the internetz.

    http://www.subarusvx.com/

"On the downside...because of its rarity, parts are relatively expensive. And every car has its own set of predictable problems. The SVX has three main faults: transmission failure, wheel bearing failure, and warped rotors. The rotor problems are caused by the sheer weight of the SVX--3,600 pounds. Subaru had never made such a heavy car and did not equip them with rotors to match. The transmission and wheel bearings fail prematurely but corrections can be made to extend their life. These and other issues are addressed in the FAQ section of this website.

I only point out its flaws because if you're planning on buying a Subaru SVX, you should be aware of its good and bad points. If you know the potential problems going in, then you won't be surprised if they come up. But don't let the problems scare you away. The SVX is a great car that one magazine called "a cross between Porsche engineering and Jaguar refinement." Check out the links at the top of the page to learn more about this wonderful car."

They're great cars. the EG33 is based on the EJ22....and is just as sturdy. closed deck too....

Subaru didn't have a trans that could hold up to the torque of the bigger motor...so if you're hard on it, it'll fail.

I don't think that's TCats...that one's in Duluth, at a Dealer. Tcat is selling his privately, in Princeton.

    Hey thats not my car....

Mine's on CAR SOUP with a price of 4200 on it and it's a 92.

You have to check into the transmission, wheel bearing replacement, power steering pump and I think thats the most of it for these cars. All of that has been replaced on mine in the last year and half. Only problem with mine right now is it's been sitting and would not start in the cold on Sunday. Other then that I have had the wheel bearings replaced. BP Subaru did the power steering pump and Saints Acura put a reman Auto trans in it from BP Subaru last summer for me oh and brakes have been done. I also installed a tranny cooler up infront of the drivers front tire and it has an electric fan hooked up to a switch for hot summer rush hour driving. I just have to many cars right now with 3 xt's, an El Camino and a SVX plus the T Bucket I'm building. The SVX's ride pretty dang nice I think and yeah they are heavy cars.
