Might get a car for the family soon or begining of 08 and got too much choices. What do you guys think I should get? Here's my taste. Its gotta be an import, used. Front or AWD only. Automatic Trans. Four door and max price about 17k-ish. Here's what I like so far. Listed as #1 being the most that I like. 1. Nissan Murano V6 (currently focusing on this one right now) 2. Audi S4 Twin Turbo AWD V6 3. BMW 3series AWD V6(maybe) 4. Audi A4 AWD V6 5. Lexis RS300 anybody have any of these vehicles? How do they run like? Any other vehicles you guys recommand? Would be more interested in a SUV but a seden will do too.
BMW's are I6's, not V6's. I like the BMW 3 series and have driven quite a few, but the AWD kills all feelings of sport in those cars.
don't get a murano there are way better choices out there. Drive them all frist to get the feeling of the cars. I would only reccomend a German car if you got bling. Otherwise maintance is going to be very costly. I have a 2005 black Legacy GT Limited automatic here for sale at 18995. If you want just come down to White Bear Subaru and ask for either Peter or Ray and will show you some cars.
but a forester or outbck wagon. why pay for an SUV that never sees the offroad and will break when it goes there and they all get crap gas mileage
I dont really want another Subaru although my dad is a big fan of Subaru Wegons. Its more for me though. I've driven the AWD BMW 5spd and the S4. The BMW runs super nice but a 5spd? Automatic is better. The S4 is super strong and runs smooth. I want more towards an suv.
I've been there once. It was a 01 or 02 BMW 325xi 5spd. It was a dealershop in St. Paul. The BMW was priced at $18.9k(if i remember correctly). I was looking at the ad on a megazine and it was price at I think $17.9k. manager said its a typo. Anyways I talk to both the sales man and manager. Somehow we got down too where the price was $16.9k. I still didn't take it because I cannot afford it at the time. I know its not a performance car but the 5spd is soo weak. That just kills my feeling of wanting it. oh yea and it has 92k miles.
For 18,9 you could get a much better car than a 325xi with nearly 100k miles on it. And it's a BMW, so you'll pay even more to keep the stupid thing on the road when it starts having problems. I don't understand the draw towards buying beat to ass luxury cars. For 19k, you could pick up a nice car that has under 30k miles on it, that could probably beat teh snot out of a 325xi in just about all performance categories, and it wont cost you your first born to repair it. How old are you?
I second staying away from the german cars. They have worse average reliability than american cars. You don't want one out of warranty.
