What oil are you guys running?

I am due for my oil change in a few miles and I just want to see what you guys have had luck with. This is the first oil change on the car since i have owned it and i'm not sure what the otehr guy was using. I was thinkin mobile 1?

 

i'l prolly use mobile 1 10w30 in the winter, 10w40 in the summer

 

the owners manual suggests 5w30... non synthetic is what i use

 

I use Amsoil 5w-30 full synthetic.

 

I think I might just be using regular oil, but changes every 3000miles. because regular oil is OIL.

 

I use Mobile 1 in my LGT

 

Same here along with Amsoil filters.

 

Mobil 1 5w-30 for winter,
Mobil 1 10w-30 for summer.

 

Castrol Syntec 10w-30 summer
Castrol Syntec 5w-30 winter

 

yea i head amsoil is the only 100% full synthetic and thier oil filters are pretty slick. I just havent heard alot about them and i know that mobile 1 is pretty reputable.

 

i'll probobly go with 10w30 for the winter

 

i run 5W-30 year round. valvoline 5w30 dino. no problems yet, and i have 60k GRUELLING miles on the car.

 

5w30 Mobil 1, Subaru OEM filter and crush ring year round with changes between 5K and 7K.

 

I use mobil 1 5/30 and change it every 3000 miles.

 

i used to run mobile syn, but my turbo started to fill my intercooler with oil, back to dino oils

right now, shell rotella's sythetic 5w40, pretty decent oil for cheap price
was using Castrol Syntec 0w30
Will be switching to amsoil 5w30 soon

Nope. I use German Castrol Sytec.

 

Currently running GC 0w30, but I'm probably going back to M1 5w30 at the next change, especially after the good UOA I got:

I'll get a UOA on the GC and compare the 2, just cause I'm curious.

 

I'm probably 10-50 miles over my first 3000 miles of owning the car. I was going to use 5w-30 Mobil1, but I think I'll just use 5w-30 mobil dyno.

I realized my finances will probably align themselves in such a way that in 2-5 years, I'll probably just want to upgrade to a 2.5L if not some other car moreso than worrying about blowing this motor up in 2-5 years. Plus I'm stock now, and double plus I probably wont do anything crazier than AP stage 2.
