i am thinking about repainting my cherry blossom rims, or maybe stripping the paint off, it is bright silver underneath, and the paint is starting to peel and chip. any color suggestions? here it is now:
you're so easy to spot now though, it's like getting slapped in the face, lol. painting them will make finding you more difficult. go from bright to stealthy, gunmetal.
i was kind of leaning towards stripping the paint and the putting a protective clear coat over them so they dont get beat to s***
Saving them from getting beat to s*** is as easy as getting some paint sealant (Klasse Sealant Glaze is what I use) and applying it, letting it dry overnight, buffing it out and repeating. It makes brake dust come off very easily and adds a good deal of protection. However, if you're going to change the color, I second the anthracite or gunmetal suggestions.
Just remember... your car came with silver.... Worst case... paint them bronze or gunmetal... if you dont like it... paint them silver. Or vice-versa!!
under the paint is a very bright silver, almost chrome. i think it would look good, especially with a black lip around the edge.
they aren't a bright silver under, it was silver and I scuffed that off to paint them. maybe if you strip the paint off and sand them then clear coat it they would look good
How about like a bright purple, or maybe a florecent pink.... lol Im kidding. I think the STI BBS gold looks good on grey. Or just black, unless you want police attention, then go with tie-die.
^WRXJoe lol... they would match his van if they were **** brown. hehe. and EGT, they might be that color underneath, it is hard to say from the pic..
well i say just strip the paint off and take a few pics, or stay wit it for a few days and if u liek it keep it, if u dont, paint em.
i will probably leave the paint on untill spring, no sense in repainting them just to get it all ****ed up over the winter
