it all depends on what you want to go for. the DP should give the most power of all the mods you have listed. the dp w/ the catback will give you a fair amount of hp but you will notice fast spoolin. you will eventually need an EM system to make sure you dont go PIFfff... tint can come later. i think we still have a hook up for this. also wheels can be traded/painted. look at bikerboys his look nice, and they are flat black.
Out of all of those, I'd have to say the AP. You can use their stage 1 mapping while saving up for a TBE. I personally wouldn't run a downpipe without some form of engine management -- thus, you'd need to get the AP anyways.
Why don't you tell him why you should run EM before TBE. On the STi, there is a tendancy towards boost creep with the VF39 and a turbo-back exhaust. The AccessPort's basemaps correct for this problem with the Stage2 map. That is why it is suggested that you get enginemanagement before doing any power mods to your STi.
umm.. So how does an electronic method fix a mechanical problem? I vote downpipe and get your wastegate ported by someone local. That will yield some very nice gains to start off with.
Start with wheels and tires.... GOOD TIRES!!! ECSTA SUPRAS ARE NOT GOOD TIRES!!! they liven up the car so much.
Okay, i think il wait for the accessport, now with the cobb accesport i could just set it back to stock anytime i need to bring it in to the dealership right? they dont have a test or anything to see if has been remapped recently?? ...thanks in advance
i vote downpipe, then save for street tuner and 2 hours w/jorge. if you keep the catback you will only get mild to nasty boost creep over the winter.
jorge is our semi-local subaru tunning demi-god. what he charges is only half the picture. you either need to go to chicago, or get in with one of our dynodays. in which case we all chip in for airfare, hotel, food, drinks, entertainment and of course a day's worth of time on rs's dyno...
