I'm going to my first ever ice rallycross this weekend and I'm not quite sure what to bring. I plan on racing with the wheels and tires on my car right now (wrx rims with blizzaks). Obviously warm clothes and maybe even my snuggy to keep warm in while I'm not racing. I plan on bringing a video camera as well. That's about all I can really think of. What do you "experienced" ice rallycrossers have to say? Any and all input is appreciated thanks!

edit: After more searching I found a nice checklist on dirtyimpreza.com. Here's the link for future reference.

I am planning on heading out to the Lake Menomin event tomorrow, is that where you are headed?

It also depends how modded your car is, that list would be a bit overkill if you have a close to stock car and if you're using the wheels you drove there with. If there's lots of snow, you might want to bring a tow strap and figure out where your tow points are.

I see carl lurking...he can chime in as well. bring a spare tire/wheel if you're not bring a full set of extras. snowbanks love to debead tires.

Also, as jesse pointed out....tow strap(s). having them hooked up already really help the organizers in case you get stuck.

I also like to bring a small torch in case something freezes up.

make sure all your fluids are topped off AND make sure your intake is well protected from the elements (especially snow/ice dust. ) and bring MAF cleaner...that helps dry things out in the intake in case you do get the maf wet. (assuming you have a MAF car)

all I would add is to have some flammable liquid in case you need to do a redneck bead re-seat. an air tank is a nice thing to have too. remember to bring snacks and stay hydrated!

Check your lugs and tire pressure often

you have to be a fully trained redneck to be able to perform that without running into issues like blowing **** up. MAF cleaner works for this...

Sweet thanks guys! My car is bone stock minus a catback, so I don't think I'll be needing a bunch of tools and whatnot. I'll make sure to shoot a lot of vid and take a bunch of pics. Wish me luck and hope nothin breaks lol.

Nope, the SCCA Badlands Region is hosting the "Ice Rallycross" at Devils Lake so that's where I'm off to!
