Hey everyone, here is the problem. I don't know enough about Minneapolis and St. Paul yet to know all of the interesting things to do with the significant other. Things seem a little dry and boring and I know she would love to get out and do more things.(as would i) I've looked at city pages and twin cities web sites, but you have gone and done these things, and I would rather have your "Reviews!" If you could list up something you have done in the past that you really enjoyed doing with your girlfriend/boyfriend/or Fong , just let me know. I would like to get out and enjoy the twin cities. I suppose I should say that "bars" need not apply...unless your talkin' ziggy-zoggy's at Gastoff's...haha...if you haven't experienced this resteraunt/pub, you should! Just south of Lowry on University in north east minneapolis! It's a blast! Thank You All!---Josh
what kind of things do you guys like doing? There's tons of stuff to do here in MN it all depends on what you like.
There's a GameWorks on "Block E" (7th St & Hennepin, downtown). Pizza, beer, bowling, and Dance Dance Revolution... FTS! ;-)
yes gameworks is always a good time, we went there last year for valentines day and she liked it. since then we have been back many times. and on thursday nights is $11 for all you can play till 1am
No, you had it right the first time... For The Suck! For the best breakfast go to Victors on 38th and Grand off 35W (I think). A really good but low key wine and dine joint is erte on 13th & university. Just down the street from gastoffs. bowling at elsies on marshall is fun. That's just off the top of my head.
We like doing all the above! I've taken her to block e to gameworks, guthrie and walker, minneapolis art museum, bowling and so on...great ideas, but we've already done them! Looking for something fun...keep the ideas coming please! Comedy clubs that you've been to and enjoyed!? I dunno, I've run out of ideas...and we have also done both como and minneapolis zoo too, so although this is a great place to take your date, been there-done that! Someone please "HELP"!!!!
winter carnival events? My wife and I love to fish. So thats what we do to spend time with each other.
hahahaha...Don't need the viagra! I think it is just "cabin fever", but I was hoping to find something fun for me too 3ric! Just want to get out of the house and I figured someone here has probably done something in the cities that doesn't get too much advertising or publicity....I don't know, maybe we have done it all!!??:emo:
where is gameworks?? its sux i cant be with my gf on valentines because i have to work dang it ..!! anyways ...there is realy nothin to do here....i cant think of any places to go ....and we both underage lol ...cant go to any bars...
right above bellanote, next to escape, and next to applebees. in the same building as the movie theater
My conclusion w/bars; Testosterone+alcohol=stupidity! Everytime I try to go and enjoy a night out at the bar/club, some idiot ruins the night for somebody! Just drive through downtown at around 1:30 or 2:30am and you'll see what I mean!! Other than that, drunks are usually very entertaining.
hahha ..yea ...i went to club sometimes, after that i saw a lot of drunk people on the street ..they are funny ....hahha .. whats gameworks has??
You can't miss the sign on the left if you are travelling east on Hennepin. Says "Gameworks" really big in yellow! I think it's on 6th and Hennepin? They have a bowling alley, tons of video games, and prizes I believe!? Prizes, YAAY!
For decent wine, excellent snacks including small batch ice cream, point your car to south Minneapolis and go to Sonny's. For good wine and good deserts, head to The Vintage on Selby and Dale in St. Paul. For cheesy good times, the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre can be amusing. Your local public library will almost always have a couple of amusing events posted on their bulletin boards, too.
go see the monster trucks at the metrodome, next week? its coming up pretty cool if you've never gone before.
if you decide on the monster trucks, send me a PM and if your interested I might get you into the pits for free. One of my buddies is a mechanic for one of the teams.
monster jam! woot! an evening of destruction is always a good time (almost as much fun as stayin home and makin babies) also, besides the trucks there's a variety of other things they do too... 4wheeler races, kids on moto-x bikes, r/c trucks, demo derbys, stadium truck racing, freestyle jumping motorcycles, etc, ect ect. if you go, bring (or buy some there) ear protection (ear muff style or those lil plugs)... it's loud!
i've never been there, but here's a link. looks like they have other things too, not just the rink. http://www.thedepotminneapolis.com/newSite/iceRink.asp other ideas... if you're get out and do something types, as compared to quieter sit and watch something or eat types. snow tubing at buckhill in burnsville. (i went last year, it's fun) http://www.buckhill.com new hope cinema grill. dinner and a movie at the same time! i havent been to the new place yet, but thought it was cool in bloomington. http://www.newhopecinemagrill.com/ inline skating at the dome http://www.roller-dome.com/
The Acme comedy club is really sweet! IF you want it to be a really cheap date take her on mon nights at 8pm and its amature night so its free admisison!! but the other nights i think that you can do like a dinner and show thing for a package deal or just go see that weeks headliner!! That always fun.you could go to mystik lake casnio and win millions.
also go out to Comedy Sports club... good clean IMPROV comedy.. ever seen WHo's line is it Anywyas... kinda like that...
That is her Favorite thing to do...Casino junky!! I'm not a fan because I'm a live dice player...no "craps" in ghey minnesota casino's. Iowa is way better for gambling!! Riverboat casino's=FTW!!
If you up for some good Chinese Food, let me know...I'll bring ya to some Dim Sum I'm a food junky...
If you have never experienced a WILD game at Xcel or a concert at Xcel, it is a great venue for both... Even if you aren't the biggest of hockey fans, you can go with a group of friends and sit at either the lower lever or upper level bar seats and watch the game while BSing and hitting a few BEERS! Acme Comedy Club = great humor, expecially if someone kinda big is in town! The Piano Bar near the Target Center for live music and fun! They play anything... I mean ANYTHING on the piano!!! (from rap to r&b to country to rock to whatever!!) There are more things to do then I can think of right now... but we have an awesome metro!
