I have a 2006 impreza 2.5i wagon. i'm lowering it 1.5"s and i've been looking at wheels. i want them to be as even with the fenders as possible. the wheels i've been looking at are 18X8. what offset should i be looking for, and what size tires?

    Thanks.

i will be picking upa 09 impreza or 09 legacy in the next few months and have the same question. what width/size offset whould i be looking for in an 18 or 17 inch rim. would an 8inch width fit ok? i would like to just pick up a used set of STI rims. I would prefer to run a 245/45 17 for summer or 245/4035 18 (depending if it will rub)

I'm currently in an EVO so i'm used to those sizes working, just not sure if they'll work in an 09 impreza/legacy

    thanks

I have an o5 wrxwagon that is dropped 1 inch in the rear. I'm running 18s with 235s and an et of +48. Some rubbing. Had to roll rear fenders. Yours will fit with a little work. They aren't hella flush but they look good!

I'd say you'd be OK. If you rub it will be extremely minor. I'd go for it. I believe those tires are a little taller than your stocks...just an fyi.. Your speedo will be off a little. Take pics and post once you get them on there.

Here is a blown up view of my avatar - 18x7.5 et+48 with 235/40/18. 1" drop in rear, 2" in the front.

I don't have any aftermarket sways. The rubbing would be on a fairly serious dip. I don't remember any rubbing on cornering, but it has been awhile. Really it wasn't anything bad. It was minimal rub. No marks on the tires but I could hear the rub. I rolled the fenders (minimal) and the sound went away.

Would the sways help? Possibly. I think that a stiffer spring would also help if keeping the stock bars.

i love both your cars. would you guys suggest getting spacers for my rear springs? i don't want that saggy butt look. i believe my springs say 1.3" drop in the rear and a 1.4" drop in the front. but i have heard that it ends up to be about a 2" drop after they settle.
