You can talk to the prosicuter and see if they will cut you a deal. Maybe a fine with probation but you probably wont get out of the whole thing.

    dont worry about it
dont worry about it untell it shows up. i would call just to make sure. i had one that just never showed up. also if you have time to go to cort i would case if you go and the cop dont show it gets droped. only down fall is you have to go to cort atleast twice case the first time you pleed gilty or not and then you get your case. you can call and see when that officer works and then try to get your cort date when he is off case they dont get paid to go to cort i herd. could be wrong but its what i herd.

He means you have to go to court twice. The first time is just a pre trial. All the first time is for is for you to say guilty or not guilty. That way if you plea guilty they dont have to waste time with a trial.

i once got 3 tickets in a row, when a cop tried to pass me and i wouldnt let him (didnt know it was a cop) he threw a no front plate, a reckless, a speeding, and a seatbelt (even though i had it on, but it was off when he came to the window) he told me i would get them in the mail....they never came, this was 5 years ago

    what county was it in?

I got my huge speeding ticket "same or similar'd" in dakota county and I was hauling way over the speed limit being chased by an undercover car. As long as your record is relatively clean they'll deal, but my fine got raised ($500!) and I got chewed out by the judge.

Now I don't drive in dakota county if I can help it since my probation lasts until next summer.

Definately keep checking online and calling them to see what the fine is. I too have had an officer not turn the ticket in to them and then it's just like it never happened! They have to turn them in within so many days.

I stopped getting tickets when I stopped driving like an asshat.

I always look/looked at getting tickets as making up for all the other times I was doing something extreamly retarded.

I don't know, I'm of the belief that if you can't afford to pay tickets, you can't really afford to play Colin McRae.

I've had that happen before, it was over a month and my ticket wasn't in the system still....I didn't wanna be a d!ck and not pay it, so i took it into the station and they entered in the ticket number and then it was entered it, and had an extra 21 day to pay it

Then I waited til the 21st day and paid lol

Worst case is that you're stuck with 2 tickets. This shouldn't affect your insurance much at all, if even a little bit. You just gotta watch your ass for a couple of years and not get any more tickets. My insurance company didn't even raise mine until I got to like 7 tickets. If you dont let your policy lapse or change vehicles or get in an accident they may never even notice...just my personal expierience

I say you sell the car back me for $2k because of all the problems you've had with it and you've gotten into with it, you'll save your self the most money in the end. :) you can take all your parts off it too. I'll even pay for your ticket.

    j/k

i'd try going to court with it, you have nothing to lose.

try going to court, if nothing else go in and talk to the hearing officer. when i got my second i went in to talk with him, and didnt really say much and he took $50 off my ticket.

as was already said the best thing to do is to not speed which is hard. I am trying to quit, and its tough! as for your situation, you arnt going to be able to get it probated. since depending on county there is a minimum amount of time that you must go without a ticket. ranging from a year to 5yrs. so you will most likely have 2 tickets on you record. but this isnt a huge deal. both of mine are on my record and my rates havent changed. the insurance people i talked with said they wont change your rates unless the speeding ickets become a very common thing.

another thing to note is IIRC anything under 9mph over the speed limit doesnt touch insurance.
