Whats A Good Video Camera

    I was looking at buying a video camera. Anyone know of a good one to get thats not that much $

    If money isn't an issue... Canon XL-2 all the way... if anything less... get a Canon Optura Xi, 500, 60, or Elura 90 or ZR400. Then again, I'm just brand dedicated when it comes to Camera and Digital Imaging.

    Panasonic would be a good choice then Sony falls in line as my last resort.

    I use Sony for their optics and CCDs. Canon is second in line to them for me. The XLs have always felt like documentary cameras and I like the fixed or affixed camera to steadycam shooting. Regardless, these are all in the over $3000 range anyway.

    For a consumer level one I'd go with one of the Sony MiniDV ones. Regardless of what you pick look for MiniDV, it's pretty much the standard for DV media now (short of DVCAM and so forth on professional equipment).
