How do you like that Evan Williams? I've got a single barrel I've been sitting I for a while that was bottled in like 98 iirc.
I like I quite a bit. The stuff I have is a single barrel 10-year from 2005. How long was that 98 barreled before bottling? That's the key.
Good call on the alcohol thread! Have a case of Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale Leftovers of Deschutes Obsidian Stout (may be my favorite stout on the planet) Surly Furious Surly Coffee Bender Fiance keeps the assortment of Ciders Spiced Rum +...... Vanilla Coke Margaritas
I've been trying to cultivate an appreciation of it. I drink so little these days that I'm looking for something remarkable when I do.
1.75 of Jameson Evan Williams 10 year Some svedka Some Seagram's lime gin Buncha wine from Virginia Surly Pentagram Surly seven Surly darkness? Some other stuff 2 cans of yuengling
How's the 10 year? I'm currently finishing a bottle of Glenlivet 15 and have Lagavulin 16 on deck and Glenmorangie 18 in the hole. Have a couple bottles of high west (campfire and rendezvous rye), templeton, and cedar ridge kicking around still as well... and some 2gingers for mixing. Beerwise... a lot. Need to drink some this winter to make room in my small bar.
Oh I also have a bunch of bottles of Moutai from my parents. Pretty much every year since like 98. Should sell those on ebay and buy a winter beater. Will update maybe later tonight with beer list in case anyone wants to trade.
II don't even know where to start I have 2 closets full of liqor. My rule of thumb any time I go to the store for something I pick up a bottle of something I've never tried before. Also not long ago I started messing around with my 2l oak cask testing what ages well as well as what mixes and ages well with vanilla Cinnamon and various other spices.
Lol that I do. Most the girly drinks are left over from the wedding but what can I say girly or not I like my apple ales
About 60 bottles of various wine, about 1/4 of which is port or dessert wine. Gin: Hendricks, Plymouth, Death's Door. Rum: off-brand Caribbean spiced, The Kraken black rum, Bacardi Whiskey: Ardbeg 17 (Exquisite. You can't find this anymore and I have only a finger or two left, bought in 2002), Caol Ila 10, Balvenie 21 (portwood), Ile of Jura, A rye of a kind I don't recall (it was a gift) Misc tequila and cordials A smattering of cider and mostly New Glarus beers.
http://www.ghvwine.com/minnesota-wine/best-dessert-wines/ The wife and i picked up a bottle of this white wine port that was absolutely fantastic! Winery is in Winona, MN. and is usually a part of the Great River Road Wine tour. If you've never been, I highly recommend it! http://www.greatriverroadwinetrail.org
That sounds interesting, bro! I have had one or two Frontenac grape dessert wines from MN. I'll have to check that one out. Also, I forgot that I have I think 7 bottles of mead in the cellar. The White Winter winery in Iron River, WI does very good work.

Don't know, haven't opened it yet. I was at a scotch tasting at Ace Spirits last Friday. We had: Brenne 10 (French) Linkwood 15 Speymalt Mcallan 18 Mortlach 25 Glenlivet 40 Speymalt Macallan 42 Coal Ila Cask Strength The Macallan 42 was like a $1,200 bottle. But I preferred the Glenlivet (a mere $500 bottle). Honestly I don't know Scotch well enough to really distinguish well, but most of them were pretty damn good. They were all (except the Brenne), G&M independent bottled. So, samples of all of those for $50, toss in a set of Glencairn glasses, and the bottle of Benromach to take home. That was a flat out crazy deal. Will be paying much closer attention to Ace's events from here on out. There were a handful of Subies there too, so I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if I wasn't the only mnsubaru member there. There was a WRB STi with iWSTI stickers parked right at the door.
I like what's happening in this thread. Though I only have some Stone Ruination Double IPA in the "Drinks" fridge at the moment.
I recently have bought : Epic Brewing' :Big Bad Baptist Imp stout aged in bourbon barrels Boulder Brewing : Killer Penguin Barleywine 2015 release Boulevard - Imperial stout with tart cherries - Drank already Scotch : Deanston 12 year highland single malt - on point.

It's decent. I enjoyed it. I haven't touched it since we had the first one, but I'm considering cracking one to see how it tastes at this point. I remember it being boozy, which is why it has been sitting for a year. I had a tasting of DarkFatha and thought it was good. Same deal though, it had a boozy taste to it. So they are on the shelf for now. I was thinking about popping another one to see where it is at after a year. We are sort of at a point right now where the cellaring is at 'critical mass.' Basically, half my kitchen fridge is devoted to it, along with a wine rack in the office that now houses a couple bottles. Not ideal, but it works for now. I would like to get a beverage fridge for the office to store maybe 30 or so bottles upright, and leave the wine rack for wines as intended. The wine rack can hold 54 bottles, but like I said, I don't want to be using that for beers. Finding a beverage fridge that looks nice in the office but also can hold the amount of cellared beer I want to store will be the hard part at this point. I'm setting a hard stop limit at 50 bottles. Mainly because I feel that beyond that point, you will need to make a hobby out of drinking beer, and I'm not sure that I want to go that route as I have other hobbies and priorities that will suffer if I'm constantly downing bombers and keeping track of the taste profiles and all that nonsense. For now, I appreciate the ability to pull out oddities and rarities on special occasions and that's about as far as I'd like it to go.
