I have a subaru oil galley plug that has a tap on the top for mounting an oil pressure sensor. My pressure sensor has a 1/8 NPT thread, while the factory plug has a different thread type. I've been trying to find an adaptor that will have a female 1/8 npt and male subaru thread type end to mount this. Have been having a hell of a time finding out what this factory thread type is.

It will be a metric thread.

Where did you get the plug with the tap in it? I've gotta do the same thing with my oil pressure sender.

It's a Subaru part (I used to have the part number, because I have the same thing)...and yes, it's 1/8 BSPT.

Search NASIOC to find the maker of the adapter, I know such a thing exists.

Wouldn't it be possible to just get a replacement plug and drill and tap your own hole to fit your sender? Granted you'd have to have a good drill press but whoever had access to one could probably sell the part on NASIOC for a decent markup.

Drilling and tapping the oil galley plug is easy. If you can source another stocker, I can drill and tap a hole.

Well, after going further with this, It looks like I will have to go the oil sandwitch block adaptor route. There's no space to just screw the sender unit and have the TMIC in place. I looked and called all over the place to try and get a tube with 1/8 npt and 1/8 bspt threads. No one had a clue about this, so I threw in the towel and just ordered up the sandwitch adapter today. Now we will see if the guy at grupp-s was pulling info out of his butt about the thread type. In a unsure way said that it was npt, oh well come next week we will see.
