I am going to do my UP install when I found this there, no really knew about it but why does it just have the straight pipe? I see these oval topped ones. Does mine suck?
oh sorry I was in a hurry, but the mounting plate is flat with just a hole for the exhaust. Is this the stock plate with custom exhaust? Is this good enough to leave there? just looking for opinions I only care to like a 5 on a 10 scale
I'm voting that it's an HKS. These units go for $~100 on ebay. Someone who've tested downpipes said that there isn't much of a difference to the other brands. I guess this is true because it does its job by removing the two rear cat converters. But, a bellmouth/divorced wastegate is superior over the HKS one you have.
it looks like it matches all the way back, and plz keep in mind the car has prob 50,000 mi. on this pipe(in Minnesota) worth keeping as-is or look for a new one?
I vote hks. Unless you plan on running a huge turbo and make some monster power, the hks will work just fine. Russ
cool thanks so hypethicaly IF I were to go with like a vf-34(?) I would need to upgrade? I am also very happy with the pipe thats there no rust at all, the clamp is almost more rust than metal but who cares about that (its also welded) thanks for the advice I appreciate it
looks just like my home made one... minus my press bends... I got a flange offline and bent pipe to fit.. works great... just doesnt have a divorced wastegate pipe... BIG DEAL.... it has got to be better than stock so yeah... heres the pics posted on this forum / club http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2170&highlight=
I think it is very close to yours then and it has some seams but it works so i'm happy just wanted to make sure it won't hurt anything so thanks guys
