What's with all the Highway Patrol this week?

    Has anyone else noticed the major increase in highway patrol and the amount of people pulled over this week? Holiday week blitz?

    I even seen a trooper measuring a truck for bumper height in Eden Prairie.

    Probably a state or federally funded drunk driving/seatbelt enforcement/speeding initiative. When they do the drunk driving ones they usually announce it publicly.

    I saw a motorcycle cop on Lexington standing on the sidewalk shooting people with his radar gun.

    Yeah they seemed to really kick it up a notch lately. I get a lot of flak now that I'm out riding my motorcycle almost exclusively.

    well, I spoke too soon. Got pulled over this afternoon (in my toyota), 87 in a 55.

    They let me go because I had a clean driving record. Weird.

    i know i seen a bunch of cops going extremely fast for city street ON motorcycles! thats crazy..

    i see 3-4 every morning that i go to school on 35E. not to mention i always see 3-4 on 94 going east from eastside saint paul to midway area.

    The few times that I have been pulled over, they always have let me go because I have never had any tickets either.

    That and I'm just honest about speeding and they seem cool.

    SO FAR .... knock on wood.

    yeah, I was just completely honest, said I was annoyed, late coing home from work etc. and I knew I was speeing, I didn't waste his time trying to play coy.

    I don't speed much in the subaru, its too noticeable. The matrix however, i have a problem with driving fast in...
