I'm a non-alcoholic trying to get ideas for what is best out there in the market today. Someday, I'll be drinking and I'd like to know the hard sh*t and the mild stuff. Give me some suggestions on what's your favorite out of the bottle, and what's best mixed with OJ/coke.

Easy: don't drink cheap alcohol, it gives you bad hangovers.

Tops on my list: Talisker scotch, Jameson Irish whiskey, Grey Goose vodka, and Bacardi variants (light, gold, dark, 151) for any rum needs. I also keep a bottle of real Everclear around for some funny reason; there's just something wrong with a drink that can come from the freezer and taste warm when you drink it

Lemon juice vs Alcohol? Are you asking which one will give a greater buzz? :)
If you're putting Lemon juice in any alcoholic drink, just be careful about mixing it with milk/cream based Liquors. Lime and lemon juice can make them curdle.[xx(] If you like cottage cheese then that's ok. Otherwise Lemon juice can add great flavor to many alcoholic drinks, especially fruity ones.
Since the age of 21 I've been kind of a connoisseur of hard liqours. Now 27 I'm finding that more spendy liqours tend to offer a better taste and less hangover, especially when it comes to tequilla. My Personal favorites are Rum based and Schnapp based drinks because they make so many wonderful cocktails. Southern Comfort is also a favorite, though someone will always say they don't like it. Try putting some in cranberry juice.

If your new to drinking I would shy away from Scotch and some of the more powerful whiskeys. Scotch is like Cigarettes, no one ever picked it up the first time and said. "Mmm this is good!", It is more of an acquired taste. If you drinking with some ladies, pick up a bottle of Vodka or some spiced rum. Flavored vodkas are a hit right now and can be mixed to create a huge variety of drinks. My personal favorite as far as vodka goes is Vodka and Red Bull. All though on the pricy side, this drink combines gives you the energy from the Red Bull and the buzz of the vodka eliminating the downer effects of drinking all night.
If your going to be drinking with the ladies, Pick yourself up a bottle of VOX Raspberry and some Lemonade. When mixed you can pore a strong cocktail and not even taste the booze….

As for mixers with Orange Juice? Malibu or Vodka.

For Pepsi, if your not a big drinker, stick with spiced rum. = Captain or Bacardi

I'm excited! :D Alcohol has always tasted nasty for me, but mixed drinks that have a nice flavor to them has been ok with me. I heard that drinks mixed in with RedBull will put me on my *ss in no time. I want to enjoy the night while still being active.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys. Any more? :)

Redbull drinks are one of my favorites too. You can also make drinks with other energy drinks as well.
One of my other favorites is Amp, by Mountain Dew. Mix it with Midori (melon Liquor), Bacardi Limon or Vodka once again. Bacardi Limon is a very popular mixing rum. It goes well with many fruit juices or sweet tasting sodas. You could try it in lemonade but it's not exactly a mild drink. In other words you can taste the alcohol if you don't use it in moderation. Of course that's true with most, what a dumb thing for me to say.
So you're looking for drinks that taste good and not much taste in alcohol. "Sex-on-the-beach" is a popular one. Once you've had a few 'mild' drinks you will notice that the stronger drinks don't seem as strong any more ;) (others know what I mean)
Some of the strongest mixed drinks are Long Island Tea or Long beach Tea. Island has a shot of Coca-Cola, while Beach Tea is a shot of red juice (usually cranberry). They both contain the same 4-6 different kinds of hard liquor. Depends on who makes it.
Another good one, although quite sweet, is Midori and 7-up.
Mixed drinks unfortunately cost more than beer but you also get more alcohol.:I

I can't do Red Bull, it gives me headaches of biblical proportions. I do like a good gin and tonic, and I am a huge single malt fan. Fruity drinks taste good but I don't like them because they are deceptive and you can wind up wasted in no time. Jagermeister is something you should try, it's like candy. Yum.

Be careful with Red Bull and vodka, the energy that Red Bull gives in those can keep you on your feet long enough to kill yourself with the alcohol content. This is especially true for newbies.

If you ever want to upgrade to a "sophisticated" alcohol, I can give you some tips on wines. ;) Bombay Sapphire and tonic with a twist is my drink of choice. :D

Alot of beginners start with a white wine. I personally don't like whites but you could go get a bottle of Chardonnay for 12-25 bucks and try it. If you want to go straight to reds I would suggest what is really popular now it's called Shiraz, it's a red from Australia. Go get a bottle of Rosemount Estates' Shiraz 2000-2001 it should run around 12-15 bucks. It's a good wine especially for the price. If you want to know more just let me know.

Substeroo is right about wines. I started out with whites and pinks and slowly started liking reds. I still don't care for the real dry wines.
Cabernet's (Cabernet Sauvignon) are red but usually not too dry. I think they are a good wine to drink when trying something other than white or pink. A lot of people like Arbor Mist wines because they are cheap and go down real easy. Most say they taste good, but watch out for the "morning after". They are less than $10 for a full liter.
While I do have some favorites with wines, I'm still a hard liquor person.
