Wheel2Wheel Challenge!

Hey Guys, Just got an Invitation to a Subaru held Event on August 21. Fly'in out to St. Louis. From my understanding they are paying for all expenses, except for the XXX Pay per view Channels in the Hotel. :nono: Should be a Fun and an Exhausting 1 day Event. It is going to be held at the Gateway International Raceway! We get to drive Subarus on the Track and they are going to reveal what's new for 2007 and some for 2008 models...I'll come back with details and pictures...

 

PICS!!!! isnt 07/08 the impreza redesign? better be good (unlike the new evo redesign)

 

Impreza/Forester is redesigned in 2008 from my knowledge. Since Subaru plan on using the same frame for Imprezas and Foresters they will always be redesign at the same time...As well as the Legacy/Outback Line, that will be around 2008 (facelift) and another complete redesign in 2009...

 

Have fun I think the racetrack is alright but if my memory serves me right the area around the racetrack was veryhnoes: scary. Lets just say we rolled up the windows and locked the doors.

 

Did you first turn down the volume for the rap music blowin' through your car speakers??? :laugh:

I'll be leaving tomorrow. I'll take a lot of pictures!!! Hopefully I get to drive the fast stuff out of the subaru group.

 

badbenny your right!!!! It is very very ghetto in St. Louis!! lol Hey sup guys came back. One thing I forgot was my camera!! I did take some pictures though through my phone. I'll try to upload that. It was fun. Got to drive the suv's up really steep hills, wet skid pad, and tight cornering around the track. Ray your gonna love it. I was gonna give out my details but I don't want to ruin it for Ray! (One thing though dude the hotel rooms are awesome!!! Looks can be deciving when your looking at the outside building. Because every damn building in St. Louis is made out of bricks!!! )

 

Nah...I'm honestly not excited about it...Everytime I go (4 times) it felt like it was rushed and when I get back I'm always drained. I heard the CR-V didn't make it up the hill..hehe..funny...I'm gonna take a shot of that...The 04 STi was great fun...but that's about it...the rest bombed...

 

Just got back...I will upload the pics either today or thursday...Gotta catch up first...

Up hill Battle...

 

Notice the CR-V going to the left side of the hill, because it can't make it up the hill...The Murano had a hard time getting up there and the Rav4 as well...I had to steer side to side to get any traction to get it to grip up the hill...While the Subarus just went straight up...

 

I hate you, but I love your job. It's a bit surprising that this event had cars using SPT parts for testing.

 

I'm still questioning the SPT product because the Intake is suppose to increase any performance turbo by 27-40+hp. Sounds iffy...without any ECU upgrade...

 

Believe me, u wouldn't want my Job...Car Sales is something I wouldn't recommend anyone to get into...It's gonna be downhill pretty soon...
