hey guys, well did some looking around and couldn't find a place anywhere where people said they got tuned, and wish they would have gone to gotten tuned. good stories bad stories ect....

I'll be doing the DB20g build up (yes, with a santa bag full of supporting mods) just worried about driving to PDX tuning in Portland OR (1,600 miles away) or Axis power (940miles) on hopes and dreams or some guy that knew enough about tuning and did a street tune to drive it there....
do I have any options? I would like to refrain from driving it as much as possable with no tune

any feed back would be appreciated, thanks guys!

    Nick

I saw that. thanks. it's just that, that will be too early for the build up. it'll be about the end of May when I get all the parts/ordering finished up
otherwise that would be THE way to go and just have him street tune it so I can drive to ---- to get the other tunes

I don't think driving it 400 miles on no tune is any better than driving it 900 miles, Dreamis.

What are you using for engine brains?

Jorge will typically send you a base map to get you there, kind of like he did for KSAL and Disco when they went down there a few months ago. Or like he did for me when I had to break in my 20g setup or when I had to break in my GT35R setup. Those are the brains im using, s0n. ;)

Hell, with Enginuity you could drive 100 miles on the backroads of MN and tune it yourself. Of course, you won't have the dyno numbers to show the rest of us, but you can slap it on the dyno at any time.
