I can't seem to find any heatshrink that will insulate to at least 23kVAC that will shrink to an ID of around .13" - any ideas?

(I'm extending some HID wiring for my rally lights and those output 23kVAC - don't really want to risk using something with a low dielectric)

    edit, 20kVDC will work

would need a stupid amount of layers (to go from 600VDC to 20,000VDC)

bing bing, i think that's what it amounts to. I'll have to solder, use normal heatshrink and then slip a piece of silicone tubing over the heatshrink

I wish I had an account with Raychem. I'll have to talk to my dad. He runs a telco (Qwest) Central Office. He gets all kinds of stuff from them.

I'll try to find out what we use at work (power plant) and I'll let you know.

    some cool stuff on www.waytekwire.com

don't seen any numbers as to how much they insulate to, but there's some heavy duty stuff there.

yea i've already checked waytek, might have to call them since they don't really list a voltage or dielectric
