Hey guys and gals just blew my engine in my 04 wrx wanted to know where to find a used engine. Best place or if someone has one for sale let me know thanks.
We can get them where I work. I personally can't do anything but our sales guys can. Call Pams Auto and ask for Chase. He's the sales guy I had look for one for me the other day and he said he found a few of them!
Ok I will try them than you any other suggestions out there is appreciated also what year motor should I look for that would be compatible with my ecu and wiring harness?
That I couldn't tell you. I believe the motors from 02-07 were the same? I'm not sure about electronics though. I know whenever I've looked on EBay, they've always been listen as compatible from 02-07.
02-05 wrx was a 2.0L, 06-14 was the 2.5L so you will need to look for a motor from an 02-05 wrx. Also, what exactly blew in your engine? Spun bearing? Cracked piston? Valves? etc.. that will determine if you need a whole longblock or just a short block.
Don't know yet pull it on Wednesday it's locked up now it's junk and if not keep for build later down the road. Found one in Michigan $2000 complete motor with turbo has 80k on it so I bought it be here on Thursday thanks for the help.
