I don't want to wait to order one, like I do with everything else. So, where can I get a good battery at? and would there be a brand specific size for my 02 wrx wagon?

    Thanks a bunch,
    Justin K.

Costco started carrying Optima batteries not to long ago. They seem to be about 25-40 bucks less than most other places I've seen them. I didn't pay enough attention to notice what sizes they had, but they do stock all three versions (red, yellow, and blue).

Die hard is good but I prefer optima. Got a Redtop on sale from carquest for my last car... under $120 (no core, after tax). Online is ~$100.
    group/model is 35-910 for wrx

There are only about 3 or 4 companies total that actually make batteries, then they all get rebranded to give you all the choices there are. I believe Johnson Controls actually makes the Optimas. If you don't have any mad tyte stereo equipment you could probably even get away with a Walmart battery (also by Johnson Controls). It is nearly impossible to buy a battery with fewer CCAs than the stock Subaru battery.

Thanks...I actually picked one up from batteries plus for 120 :) but my voltage problem is still as persistant as ever. Does anyone know where I can get it checked out for cheap? It seems to be draining my brand new battery as well. This sux.

If you're having problems with the battery draining, it could be a failing alternator. Any check engine or battery lights coming on? Lights dimming? What are you running for electrical accessories? Any other symptoms?

An optima red or yellow top..

I'm pretty sure that since the redtop batteries are "smaller" than "normal"
batteries, theres a base that goes along with it so it brings it up to normal
    height.
