I am running low on the spray. I checked a couple auto store for just the spray lubricant. But they only sell the kit. I already have a clay bar, all I need is the lub. Anyone know any stores locally that sell the spray lub only. Thanks!

Any quick detailer will work. Mothers and Meguiars both make some. I think Turtlewax also does. Just go to any autoparts store (Oreilly, Autozone, PepBoys) and grab a bottle of spray detailer.

Water can sometimes cause the claybar material to disintegrate. Especially after a few fold overs. And once it gets too moist, it starts to stick to the surface of the paint.

I've heard of people using water with a little carwash soap mixed in. Sounds like it may be a poor/cheap mans option.

Yeah, I could see doing it with 50/50 soap and water solution in a spray bottle.

Soap and carwash shampoo works. Otherwise a quick Detailer. Basically anything that is a liquid lubricant.
