Where to go for a nice tint for a good price???????

Ok guys sence i almost have my wrx back together i am thinking about getting a tint. The car color is black and some people tell me i should get yellow tint. Tell me what you guys think what would be the best color that would go with black (im thinking black). I want to have an idea about....

How $$$ (all around)?
What kind of warranty do you get?
Whats legal tint?
Anything else im missing?

50% is legal. I got my done at Street Scenes Tint during their winter special for 175. Lifetime warranty on the install and film as long as it isn't something you did to it (scratches, gouges, etc).

Street dreams in Rochester did all four doors, rear window and sunroof for $130 on my girls civic.... does a good job he has 5% 20% 35% and 50%...for what you pay 50% isnt very dark ... PM me if you want his number...

I can see what trung can do for you at Street Scenes if you're interested. He worked with me at my at&t store. We did a group buy through them last year. Did a great job on my WRX.

 

I'll beg to differ. While 35% looks really nice (I had 35%), it looks extra dark on a black car (like mine) - and draws the unwanted attention of the 5-0. Go legal at 50% and avoid the trouble of having to get it re-done - and fighting a ticket. I speak from experience.

If you have a show car - do whatever you want.

 

I have 30% on my white sti for over a year and I haven't got any attention at all from the popo. I got it installed at tintmasters in grand forks for $2XXish but it comes with a lifetime warranty even if i scratch it they will replace it.

 

I got my rig done at Tintmasters in Burnsville and also purchased the 'oops I scratched it myself warranty'. It's optional and IMO totally worth it. You never know when you one of your passengers might accidentally drag something across the window (ring, engine block, machete, etc) getting in or out of your car.

As for color, I personally think it's hard to beat the look of black on black.

tint is definately something that paying a little more money for will get you better quality.

I did mine at area 51 Hyper Tech when they had there sale last month. $150 lifetime warranty and I did 35%.

50%, it looks darker though unless you compare directly to another car.

 

I have 13% done on mine.. I wouldn't suggest going that dark.

no average is about $200-$300. For those like me who paid about $150-$170 it was a sale price they had. You can always call up the tint places and see if they have any specials going on.

imo colored tint other then black looks stupid. I saw some red civic with red tint the other day... I threw up a little in my mouth.

If you drive like a moron... then dont get 35% otherwise you are fine... i had 20% on my black talon (looked sweet) and i never got pulled over.... just dont drive dumb and attract attention and youll be fine...

 

I just got my wagon done Tuesday by Kevin (Owner) @ Shaded Images, he has been tinting cars for 20 years and has the state trooper vehicle account. He has also done many cars that have gone to SEMA. Top notch guy that does a great job. He did my wagon for $180 in an hour as I sat there and watched! He is in Albertville Kevin @ (612) 281-6113

I went with 15% in back and 50% up front, looks great!

 

Doesn't matter man, if there is a prick cop that needs to meet his quota for the month....your getting pulled over for tint

I had all of my windows down, and I still got pulled over at 5:30 on france ave going 35mph in traffic.

 

I don't drive dumb. I just get pulled over because I get done with work at 1:30 AM - and i'm sure they just want to check to see if I've been drinking.

Usually its not the local smokies you have to worry about, its the state boy's that like to pull you over for not so legitimate reasons.

 

I got a Legacy, with 20% on the rear glass and doors, and %35 on the front sides. It's a very nice blend. It's really dark, but it looks amazing on the black pearl. I've never gotten pulled over in this car either, like others say, just watch how you drive.
