Tell me why a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT is better then a 2000 Audi S4. I am thinking of getting either one.

They're both great cars. However, the S4 will cost more to mod and maintain if out of warranty.

S4 with turbo kit:yumyum:...there ya go! My friend has a 2001 2.7T S4 with Ko4 turbo kit upgrade and puts out 450+ at the wheel. very fast, very low profile

warranty. maintenance on an audi is a killer. my buddies lightly modded s4 is constantly in the shop. and it's never a cheap fix.

The only way you can consider owning an S4 is if you can make all the repairs your self. Nothing like coils going bad, water pumps taking dumps, and oil leaks. Oh and don't forget the maintenance.

I wish I'd have gotten a Leggy GT instead of my WRX. I'm really starting to realize low-key is a good thing. :emo:

not just cause its a subaru forum but seriously s4-costs easily twice as much to repair, people in audi clubs generally suck, mods cost twice as much, no ecu reflashing, need to take ecu out to tune, engine IS A KENIPTION**** OF STUFF...insurance is way more, gas mileage worse...it will be a bit faster STOCK but the LEGACY GT will be a better car for th emoney

forget the fire comment, Dave's s4 had a ****ty title. my dad had a 2001 s4. He loved the car but it was a low mileage one. It has great power even in stock form, although it responded incredibly to tuning. Some big problems you would run into would be turbo's, timing I think and something in the cooling system. The s4 really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a car for a year then buy the s4 assuming the mileage isn't too high. If you want a car to drive without worrying about as much( but not as fun in stock trim) then get the lgt

Theres no problem the S4 would have that alot of money can't fix. If you can afford it, buy the S4.

I would get the 2005 Legacy GT. I looked into getting an S4 but all the stories it heard about them really put me off of it.
