Which Piston Size to Order?

    Please pardon my engine internal n00bness. In checking my invoice for my pistons it says Mahle Pistons .20 Over. I'm guessing this is not the correct size. These haven't been ordered yet but I wanted to make sure this is the direct stock replacement.

    99.5mm with standard bore, 100mm if your going to overbore. You need to figure out if you need to overbore the block before you order s0n.

    .020 over means they are not Standard Size.

    Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully all is well when we open her up. Worst case scenario though I have a little more displacement :biggrin:

    Granted subarus are a different world, its typical in hondas that if you are replacing the pistons to go with the .20 over.

    Its not always the case but if you dont you could end up having to run looser tolerances and a possibility of burning more oil.

    again, not always but could happen.
