which would you prefer?

    got my clutch and fly wheel, and maybe doing it this weekend, now what would be less time comsuming to put in a clutch, take out the engine, or trans.

    i'm doing mine soon too would like to know as well. after some reading i think it depends on how your lifting up the car..jackstands or lift. sounds like it's easiest to pull the engine forward a little bit but i'd wait for some 1sthand knowlege

    Sorry too easy, from what I understand most folks leave the motor in the car.

    on a wrx ide say leave the engine in, on anything n/a pull the motor

    yeah, no crap...matt is pretty quick when it comes to clutches.

    I've done it both ways, and I prefer pulling the motor whether turbo or N/A, unless I had a lift and could drop the tranny easily. Mating the motor to the tranny goes smoother for me than wrestling with the tranny from underneath the car.

    If you're ambitious and have done it before, a turbo motor can be out in 2 hrs, 1.5 if N/A.
