LegacyPGT rebuilt my transmission after I blew a gear. Sounds like a blown synchro if it wont leave first gear.

wow.. I remember when I first got mine..w as at a car wash.. it was all wet (car adn road) so I did like a 5000rpm launch with wheels turned to see if it would spin like a top... hmmm nope took off down the road but wouldnt come out of first...

5Hit I thought.. they said the gearboxes suck in these and you just blew yours with 2000 miles on it.... I was thinking to myself... you dumba55 !... after reafing like a madman on teh gear stick I couldnt get it to budge... clutch in clutch out clutch in clutch out repeatedly for about 10 mins... I walked away form it frustrated.. left it where it stopped and walked abotu 3 blocks to my bro-inlaws house where we were working... figure it cant come out of first noone can take it.. ah ah

went back about an hour later... put the clutch half way in turned the key and BANG..... it popped... when I say popped... it was more like the bang.. as if someone just rear ended me with an F-350 super cab.... very friggin loud... now has almost 50K on the gearbox and havent had an issue yet.. (except the rear diff)... weird.. cars never cease to confuse me...:eek4:

The fork on the WRX's/STi's wouldn't break realy...they're a bit more built, unlike the push style on the NA Subarus; mine broke with just exedy Stg 1pressure plate.

I remember doing the clutch job on a WRX, and then it'll like slighty engage. That made it hard to get into gears and such. I dunno why it did that. This was the second time doing the clutch job on this WRX.....I dunno...the pressure plate was USED as well as the disc. It was fairly NEW, but I dunno why it did that.
