I want to pick up a set on NGK iridium plugs, one step colder, for a build this weekend. Anybody know where I can get them localy without having to order them in?

    Part number: 2667 (BKR7EIX)

    Thanks in advance.

NAPA stocks NGK plugs. Give them a call and see if they have them in stock. I had to get odd ones (JIS v ISO) for my 2001 RS because I've got Magnecor wires. The EP NAPA had a whole boxful in the back.

Why did you take them off so quick?

Anthony at Boostkits.com sold me mine. He usually stocks them too.

Oakos.com - Dave is the best, I recommend them for anything they stock.

I can find them all over the internet, that's easy. I am looking for local places I can just pick them up from.

I think I can answer the STI question also, correct me if I'm wrong. First, the STI does not come with these plugs. Second, the plugs aren't going to help you unless you get a custom tune geared toward those plugs. Because they are colder, you can better avoid pre-ignition and detonation when tuning the engine.

Third, I don't think those plugs fit the STi heads either.

Ok, so the NGK's are looking fewer and farther between than I had hoped for. Are there any other options for me right now? Possibly a different plug that will perform the same?

Called NAPA today. The guy I talked to said the nearest ones would either come from NGK directly or from LA.

I think I am just going to use the stock plugs for a bit. I have to break in the turbo anyways and I won't have a solid map for a while. I'll be limping around on a safe map for probably all of next week. :-(
