I just got my registration number in the mail and am really looking forward to this year. For those not familiar, it's one of the largest classic car shows in the U.S. and takes place the weekend of June 19-21st at the state fairgrounds: http://www.msra.com/BackToThe50s.htm My personal highlight from last year: This guy built this scaled down '39 Chev from scratch - I tried to include a shot next to a regular sized vehicle for scale. He built it in his dirt driveway with no metalwork training whatsoever. It's powered by some old carb'd toyota engine/tranny. The tall guy with the glasses is the owner/builder. I'd guess he's about 6'3 or so and fits in the car with plenty of room. He said he's driven it the past few years from his home in Arizona all the way up to MN for the show.
I may go, or I may just go to the hotel off lexington and 694. A good part of the show without the rifraff, huge crowds, or having to pay. Here are some pictures from the last two years if you're bored. 2007 2008
