hey.. in Australia the WRX was the RAM-Raiders choice of car cause they could outrun and out corner the cop cars... then the cops got some... they couldnt for along time cause they never came with autos there... but they got some MT's and used them for the pursuit cars.. the onlything that kept up with subies were subies.. he he he

It was a photo shoot for an ad campaign, if I remember correctly. ...but that was sooo long ago.

 

I have the rest of the pictures, but alas, am feeling too lazy to upload them. I also have a pic of real V7 wrx japanese cop cars. again, the laziness consumes me so i'm not posting them.

 

at lease it something...that got camaro cop cars down here.....

repost or not, the skyline and the sti are still pretty cool/funny as cop cars.

 

Word, I think it was ascertained that the Colorado State Patrol does not in fact use that car...done up for the ad only.

 

it is not an add campaign! My close friend who goes to college in denver, has seen these cars in person on patrol. It is part of the street racing task force or some ****e!

my dad used to be a cop here, and they do have "high speed pursuit vehicles". the minnesota state patrol used to have 20 mustang svt's for thier force, and i know for a fact, back in the 90's, colorado state patrol had white camaro z28's. when i was in the military there, saw a few of them.

 

cool, i was unaware that they had sepereate high pursuit cars.

i do believe that the STi was originally used as an ad campiagn for the colorado PD. however they may have gotten smart and started using them. (remember my previous posts about why subies would make better cop cars? (example: Fuji 1, Cop Cruiser 0)

i would have uploaded a pic of the Colorado PD ad STi but BMPs arnt allowed and although i am motivated enough to try to upload i am not motivated enough to change file extensions today.

when i was in NC i saw a ricer getting pulled over by a camero cop car...

 

a ram raider is a group of guys who pile into an old car say like a big ol impala, and RAM into the store front windows, then RAID the store of stuff they want to steal... HENCE RAM-RAIDER... they usually go steal a car form a dealer or something earlier as their getawya.. In Australia they were stealing WRXs of the shipping dockyards as the get away cars cause they could outrun teh cops through the streets...

 

thats a very literal name for them.
