I have had two things done recently. First I had the advisory done for the ABS. Then I left on a trip and I am pretty sure the brake lights were working then. During the trip I got in an accident with a deer and just got my car back from the body shop.

I checked the brake light fuse and the bulbs. Both are good. Most of the damge was to the hood and drivers side of the car. Slight damge to the roof. They had to take out the roof liner and a bunch of interior trim.

The tail gate brake light is working and all the other lights in the pods work accept for the brake lights. Anyone have any idea what might cause this?

oddly enough the same thng happened in my 02 RS. The brake lights stopped working but the center braking light was still working. I didnt get in an accident or anything, took it back and it was fixed under warranty. They never gave me a clear excuse as to what was going on, but the fuses and connections were all fine.
