I actually wanted an EVO when they first came out. I wouldn't mine owning one either. But its the club that really help make a difference. I hung around a bunch of EVO guys but they were always a little cocky and only wanted to street race. I'll admit I was at that phase a long time ago but I've grown up and I rather just cruise and get from point A to point B with out causing any trouble. The Subaru crowd has their own little devil side but for most of us, we like to just get together and kick back and have a good time. Plus not having a big wing on my back doesn't draw any attention.
Because I haven't lived in my mom's basement for over two decades. Also, I dislike the odor of feet and Cheetos. On a stand alone basis, the latter is glorious.
Now if we could just get you to reciprocate that attention back to the ladies that'd be a good start After driving Cheech's Evo I'm sorely tempted to trade my WRX for one.
Well it may have been a good thing you only got to test drive it once, can't imagine what would happen if you did trade in your WRX. Would hate too see you bring out the big guns when they start to give you slack lol As far as reliability goes my Nissan and Subaru are down for engine work, my Mitsubishi is down waiting for a turbo upgrade, it's been a month now, so the only thing reliable is my Toyota Prius and Tacoma.
female 1: "So you think he's as gay as he looks?" [Josh get's in his giant winged car] female 1: "Yup" fixt... oh, and your car is done lol
Let me know once you get the new turbo installed. Also, if you'd be willing to park it outside and leave the keys in the ignition that'd be great
But I DID get an Evo. My list of cars has been: 02 WRX sedan (owned for about a year, sold) 03 Evo (owned for about a year, sold) 02 WRX wagon (currently own) I guess I like the Subaru's more.
+1 on the rumbles, and the Subaru community (very diverse in it's members and what they do with their cars e.g. rally cross, drag racing, and of course shenanigans )
Hey so which manu went with clear/chrom tail lights again? I wish my car had better/brighter looking tail lights.
Now that I'm older with a family, a Subaru, especially my Forester, is way more practical then an Evo. I like Evos but not a fan of the crowd of ricerboys it has for a following... If I had obnoxious amounts of money and started a collection, an Evo might eventually make it into the garage, however, I have a list of at least 10 cars that would come before it.
I love my evo. Evo makes for a better track car and if you want 400+whp. Subaru's are much nicer to drive daily.
Dude...I've seen videos of you tossing track Evo around the track. You make it look like your playing Forza. I must say you are a good driver...I would like to see your onboard videos at BIR.
I am very upset I didnt get any video at BIR. I did go out one session with the in car cam on, but had to come in on my first warm up lap because someone went off track and kicked dirt up all over. I forgot to restart the camera on my next session.
Cause I couldnt afford one that didnt have 143 billion miles on it Honestly I love my Subaru and the community, but if I could find an EVO (8/9/10) with the same amount of miles I'd trade my Subaru for it in a heartbeat.
My wife saw a pic of a Evo 9, said she liked it, and asked what kind of STI is that. I grew up and bought a Volvo instead.
