Time to get this started again. Just picked up a few more tickets this afternoon. I think that makes ten games for me this season so far which I'm happy about since i'm not a season ticket holder. always interested in hearing what tickets people may have available so keep me in mind ...Please. So who did I see in the silver wagon with tinted windows and a touch of rumble pulling out of the landmark ramp? As for the game...holy penalties, and two fights, in preseason:laugh: Toward the beginning I thought they were playing pretty well together considering it was mostly the noobs and some guys on the edge. But as the game went on things seemed to get sloppier. just imho.
Yep, great first period. After the 2nd I wanted to kill myself. I think there MIGHT have been 2-3 minutes of 5 on 5 hockey. I did see alot of things that I liked. Bruno behind the net is majic. Nolan for being old, sure can get it done. Mikko is HUGE. I bet he put on 20lbs of muscle over the off season. It will be real interesting to see how things click once it turns into real hockey, instead of bear league hockey. Gillies was filling his breazers. Just wait till the kid see's opening night (if he makes the team). Russ
wow! It was so great to be back at a hockey game pre season or not. Yeah penalties were getting old and its hard to really get a feeling for the "team" but It was fun none the less. Oh and Sheen I think I may have sharted it your seat:biggrin:
Oh yeah I just remembered that we bought a puck for the puck wall at the last game. Does anyone else here have one?
I have been thinking about it for years, but never "done it" yet. Maybe this season. I have so much random crap for going every year and from the road trips, whats another puck. I seriously think I have 30+ pucks, and I didn't collect last seasons give away pucks. But I do have some pretty serious "free" gear from the years. Russ
What are some places that have shuttles to and from the Excel Center? If I remember right...O'Garas does, but are there any other places?
I would check out wild.com. I know they are doing a big promotion this year, so they added a bunch of places to the list. Plus you can now ride the light rail for free and a bunch of bus routes were added. Russ
Alary's. Park in the ramp for 3 bucks and bring in the stub for a free bottle/rail drink. They have 4 shuttles running back and forth. Great setup.
Nothing from the local club. If the visiting team or the other home team (when we are on the road) broad casts, you might be able to find something. Most of everyone that I know have either been to the home game(s) or listen on the radio. Anyone going to be there tonight?? Russ

That game sucked imo. We looked pretty decent in the first period then looked about half speed the rest of the game. Letting the blackhawks pretty much walk all over us? WTF. I will say Shepperd looked really good in the first. Gaborik also looked more agressive last night.
Our defense needs to be a little more aggressive. Let Backstrom take the puck...that's his job. Our defense needs to step up and take the body...all they're doing right now is backing their asses into Backstrom's face! And our offense....well that's never been our strong suit
He needs a couple missing teeth and noticeable scars, preferably some fresh stitches under the eye as well. Why not a few blood stains on the jersey?

If they keep it to the marketing that they are pitching, I will live with it.
