Ok, random question, but I was wondering if anyone happened to know if it was possible to transport a GC hood in the back of a 96' impreza wagon? I could probably break out the tape measure and figure it out, but it's dark and cold outside....I'm guessing that I'm not lucky enough for it to be possible....

IIRC, Martin transported a GC hood in his coupe........

those impreza wagons have a rediculously small hatch, but I bet if you could get it through the hatch, it would fit.

^That's basically what I was thinkin was if we could get it through the back it'd fit fine. I might just have to take Kalie's off and see if that works...it's only a couple bolts, and I'd rather know now before we drive to Brainard to Pick up a hood from Ryan...

make a wing out of it.

jk, why cant you just bolt it to your hood and then take it off when you sell it and drive hoodless home?

I drove around for a couple days without a hood here in town. I wouldn't worry about it out in the sticks. And like curly said, tell them you're going to buy a new one. it won't even be a lie.

actaully I can't believe I didn't think of this. It's perfectly legal to not have a hood...I remember WRXJoe coming back from north dakota or something when he sold his carbon fiber. I doubt we'd get pulled over, and she needs to practice the habit of rolling down the windows when ever she sees a statie anyway

I tried fitting the GC hood into my car. I managed to get it in one door and out the other somehow. there was not quite enough room to get the doors closed or the seats up. If you have an OBS it might work out better. you have alot of extra playing room. I bet it will fit int he hatch area, it probably wont fit into the smaller doors though. If you had a legacy wagon it would fit no problem.

FYI: I saw a picture on RS25 of a guy that fit a CF GC hood into his GC coupe. I know it *can* be done I am just not sure how. They guy that posted the pics didnt even know how he made it fit.

    EDIT:

Just checked on RS25. the verdict is that you can fit a GC hood in the trunk of a GC if you remove the back seat. Its tight but doable.
