will my 02 throw a cell

When I bought the car the back cat was gone. Now i,m putting on an invidia up-pipe. I was wondring if i,m gonna throw a cell and what am i gonna have to do if it does?

 

Gone as in not there? or gone as in bad?

 

Its not there. It looks like they had a buddy bend up a cat back from the first cat.
Welded in a bung half way down where the cat would be.

 

My 07 hasn't thrown one yet. Catless up and the third cat delete. (True, mine came catless uppipe, so IDK for sure)

Can't, or at least shouldn't with the stock catalytic downpipe in there.

 

grimmspeed put the up-pipe in today and no cell so far. I put about 40 miles on it.

 

Shouldn't have a problem. How much faster turbo spool?

And did you get a retune yet? You should.

 

It spools up at 28 to 3g's now. I don't have an access port yet.

 

me stupid I read the original post as down pipe.

 

I have the grimmspeed up-pipe in my 02. I put a resistor into the harness where the factory egt was, and no CEL in 5k miles. I do have a completely stock exhaust from the turbo back.

 

I wanna get a catless turbo back next. But I need to get an access-port first.
