I am upgrading to STi Struts/Springs. Will they bolt on to my stock suspension? Will I need STi tophats, etc.? I was told they should bolt right on. My buddy has WRX struts/springs and he said his bolted right on. Help me out if you know anything. Thanks!!!
idk about the rears on a lgt i know on my wagon the rears wont bolt up. did u post this on legacygt.com cause i bet some on there as allready tryed
What year is your legacy and what year is the sti? 04 Sti (5x100) fronts might work. doubt any year sti rears will work on the newer legacy. The 08+ sti rears might work on a newer legacy.
if that is your legacy in the profile picture the rears wont work. the rear suspension is totally different. the 04 or older sti stuff would go in if you had a 99 or older legacy gt.
Alright, I bought the struts. For everyone's future info, the front fit, but the rear do not. So, I have a set of struts and springs front and rear from an '04 STi for sale. Also, I have another question. Does anyone know if struts from an '05 Legacy GT fit on my '00? I found a nice set of bilstein struts from an '05 Legacy GT for sale (they fit the '05-'09 Legacy GT). do what i do. go to a auto parts website and cross check part numbers. a place like summit or tire rack is best. do a search for 00 struts and 05 struts and compare part numbers. if they are the same they will work. if they are different they might work but probably not. in your case the part number for bilstein shocks/struts for 00 and 05 GT sedans are not the same so they more than likely will not work. how much you want for the struts and springs?

Okay, because I helped to take the car down to its frame and was standing there when you picked up the struts/springs. Having the proper information helps other people and there is a significant difference with some of the 04 and 05+ sti components. Just trying to help future members looking for info.
Oh crazy. I thought I recognized you. Yeah, the struts were pretty different. Pretty much just the bottom mount on the rears. I'm just selling them for $200 cause I hope that will cover shipping too. If anyone wants them, and wants to pick them up, I will negotiate a lower price. Thanks for the added info Chris. Anyone who is interested, PM me.
Also, I can put up pics, but I will most likely put up a different post for the struts if they don't sell within a day or two. I already have a few offers, but we'll see.
