I bought my 03 WRX with a carbon fiber hood, i dont know what brand it is, it has a metal tag under the hood that says SUPRA and has like 4 stars under it. It has a latch, no hood pins. I will trade it straight up for a platinum silver 03 WRX hood in excellent condition, or for any other color + cash. I live in WI, will meet half way. Will get pics upon request. i need enough to paint it silver, which if prfessionally done, would need to be blended with the car and would be expensive.
just a rough estimate that i was tolds by a body shop was 350-400 because they would have to spray fenders and bumper to blend.
Considering that the freshly painted hood is going on a 2-3 year old WRX, I'd just get the hood painted alone ($200-300 @ Hamline Autobody in St. Paul). But that's just me. Make a signed agreement, or something, before painting the hood and do the swap after painting it. I'd do it if I had a silver WRX.
