Window Tint

Many of you already know me and have used my services. My name is Chris Welckle and I am located in Prior Lake. The name of my company is now Flawless Front Ends and window tint. I offer the clear bra product Venture Shield. I have a plotter located onsite and can cut any clearbras in the database on demand.

I have 9 different lines of tint. Each line has 4 or 5 shades to choose from. I offer the mnsubaru MNSOC members a great deal on tinting or clear bra. I have 26 years+ tinting experience(yes, I'm an old guy;but still love the automotive scene like I was still 18). I have over 6 years of clear bra experience, too. My company was formerly known as Tint Works, but I am trying to promote both services. In addition, it was requested that I have a separate log in or screen name than my personal chriswelckle account.(FYI) I am just trying to let you all know and do what they ask.

Update: no longer using Ventureshield. I use Xpel Ultimate and Hexis Body Fence. They are a way better product for self healing AND clarity/not yellowed AND lack of orange peel look! Venture was great, but these blow it out of the water!

you can do tail light covers right? on a 05 wrx

 

I've done many overlays, but never the 04-05. I can't be sure, but I'd give it a try if you want. I know there is a circle section that sticks out that could make it impossible, without cutting that section out into a separate section. I haven't had one yet that I cant do.

 

Is this a post a vehicle and get a price on window tint thread?

 

I was hoping people would PM me, so it won't annoy others....but whatever.?.?

Chris does more then amazing work. Did mine last Friday, went 5 for rear with 35 up front. Luckily I don't drive to much any more! Chris, let me know when you get a larger roll of the smoke in stock as well! I still need to check out my rear bulbs for darkening the tail lights too.

 

Chris did mine and turned out awesome!! Both vehicles of mine are more comfortable to drive now. Wish I could have done it sooner. Couple pics below. Top one is my Sti with 35% Quatum, Lower one is my wifes Integra 50% Quatum.

 

I just bought a new black '09 STI and need to get the windows tinted. My previous car had 35% "Platinum Plus", if that means anything to you and I really liked the look of it. It had the semi-mirrored look. I think it might be similar to STI pic above. I asked the dealer about it today and they said not to get the reflective tint because it can interfere with the signals for the navigation system, tire pressure monitoring system and cell phones. Is this true? I've never heard that before. Does anyone here have the mirrored tint on a car with those features?

Chris is the TOPS! He clear bra-ed my sport grille last week and has clear bra-ed my front end last Spring. He does excellent work, his customer service is super and is one hell of a guy.

I sent you an email a week ago and haven't heard back, looking for tint + tail light overlays. Let me know!

 

MN Tint is 50% +/- 3% transmittance on all side and rear windows, and none on the windshield. Sucks, I know.

 

Bump for a great guy and great job! 50% all around on my 08 gr-sti, made a huge difference. See you this fall for the clear bra, Chris.

 

Chris does great work. I stopped by last weekend and got red overlays installed on my 2011 WRX. They came out looking great, and totally change the look of the car, IMO. I wanted this since before I even got the car, and I'm glad I went with the professional install route. 100% satisfied. Highly recommended!

WOW, what can I say? Great customer service first and foremost! Chris took his time running through all the different tint options and made sure I understood MN law.

I will for sure do business with him again (if I can convince my wife to tint her car!). I would not hesitate to refer others to him.

The best part, he was more then happy to show me with the light meter exactly where my tint percentages ended up after he was done (50% up front and 40% on the rest).

What level of tint did you go with?

 

Final: 50% up front, 40% on the rest...
The actual tint film was 55% and 45% and then you factor in the factory tint which is where the extra 5% came in.

I love the bronze wheels....despite my family calling them "dirty wheels", haha, it's turned into a joke at family gatherings now!

I called Chris and didn't get a response, but I know i saw a post about someone getting their tint done by him not too long ago.

 

Just a guess, but Chris is also a airline pilot so he may be working for several consecutive days which would explain why he hasn't been as responsive. DISCLAIMER only my personal opinion.

 

+1 for Chris Welckle of Flawless Front Ends & Tint in Prior Lake. Installed clear bra on my '11 STI. I found out for myself that all the rumors you guys have said before are true; great guy, great service, great price. I'd post a picture of the how the clear bra looks, but obviously you wouldn't see it which is the goal. Who's next? Give him a call; 6122260295
