    WINTER TIRES GROUP DISCOUNT

Through cooperation with Venburg Tire Company I've been able to secure discounted prices on the select winter tires.

Please call Venburg Tire to make an appointment and verify your preferred tire is in stock.

    Hakkapelitta RSi

Prices below are example prices based on your preferred tire size. Price INCLUDES Tax, Mounting/Balancing/disposal charge ($8.00 total if they take your old tires). If they do not take your old tires subtract $8.00 from the price listed below.

    195/65R15 RSi = Retail $553.79, Your cost $482.55.
    205/55R16 RSi = Retail $791.76, Your cost $654.59
    225/45R17 RSi = Retail $983.87, Your cost $813.40

Please note: If you do not see your tire size listed please call them to verify they are available. However, Nokian does NOT make 215/45R17 OR 245/40R18 in the RSi. We’re checking on the R model.

SPECIAL ANNOUCEMENT: The RSi is being discontinued. It will be replaced with the Hakka R. http://www.nokiantyres.com/release?id=10639625
For now the RSi is still available.

    11/10/08 UPDATE
Blizzak Revo's are NOT available right now. Venburg Tire's warehouses are sold out. You can call Kevin at Venburg for an update at anytime, but as of today he couldn't even get an ETA on the Revo's. Here's the alternative tires.

    General Alti Artic
    Dunlop DS-2 Winter

    195/65R15
General Alti Artic = $69.20 per tire, $15 Labor ($355.48)
    Dunlop DS-2 Winter = $86.50 per tire, $15 Labor ($429.36)

    205/55R16
General Alti Artic = $89.10 per tire, $15 Labor ($440.46)
    Dunlop DS-2 Winter = $109.92 per tire, $15 Labor ($529.36)

    225/45R17
General Alti Artic = $113.48 per tire, $15 Labor ($544.56)
    Dunlop DS-2 Winter = $151.12 per tire, $15 Labor ($705.28)

All prices in ( ) are installed and including tax. These would be some good options for a lower price than the Nokian’s and are available in the twin cities.

    Blizzak Revo (per tire)
11/10/08- NOT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW. Call Venburg Tire for availability

Blizzak Revo is offered in a few of those sizes but not currently available. Here’s some pricing for tire only:

    195/65R15 $98.17 your cost, $105.97 retail

    205/55R16 $124.48 your cost, $138.96 retail

    225/45R17 $156.37 your cost, $181.37 retail

They weren’t offered in the 215/45R17 or the 245/40R18’s

Additionally, I've been told by Venburg and numerous other tire suppliers that most manufactures increased their prices on Oct 1st due to outside factors like the economy and raising fuel prices....

    How to take advantage?

You must tell Venburg tire at the time of purchase you are a member of MNSubaru. You will then automatically get the discounted pricing. You may choose to mount/balance on your own.

Really? I've had my RSis for 4 seasons now (and I drive a lot - delivery driver), and they still have at least half the tread left. Best winter tire I've ever driven on.

I'm interested depending on price, brand, brand and model. I have a set of LM-22's that could make it throught the winter, but when you think of the cost of just a little body work good winter tires make sense!

I've had them 2 seasons now and they still look and work great. So I'm set and don't need any, but these are good cheap tires.

I'm interested. I have a set of Dunlop Wintersport M3s with a season left but I'd like to try out either the newer Dunlop Wintersport 3D or the Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi... depending on price. That also means I'll have a used set of M3s for someone on here. Rims included. ;)

I might be in for some more Hakka RSIs. I think this year my moms legacy is going to get snow shoes, and maybe my dads plowing truck. 2 winters on mine and they looks almost new.

I'll be putting on new winter tires. I just don't know what yet. I have yet to decide, and group buy sort of equals something specific which I don't know if I want or not, lol.

Also, the RSIs are gone. They have been replaced by the R. Check out Nokian's site for info.

I feel the same way. I'd rather drive on my stock rims during the winter and to that I'd need some new tires.
...this and I can talk mano into helping me do my rims in some crazy color!!

My old RSI's don't fit my t-leg, so I need new winter rubber, I guess I'm interested.

And the ipikes. Are those w407? Look sorta like RSIs, but hankook site says they're studded=illegal. Is there a way to get them without studs (other than doing it by hand) and are they worth a damn without studs?
