So I know a few of you got new gear for this winter while some of us are running the same set-up. New or old, stock or aftermarket, winter or all-season, let's see some pics of your winter set-up, the set-up you want to have, photoshopped pics, etc...

I finally touched up and cleared-coated mine... still needs some more work, but I won't bother with it until Spring if at all. I'll probably mount them this weekend. Here's a sneak peek:

Yeah, I put my '06 stockers back on last weekend. Plan to get my barely used Hankook I-Pike w409's mounted on Saturday.

Anything will be better than my destroyed Falken ZE512's that I had last year.

    I'll miss the alt's.

I'm pretty sure the revo1's are gonna deteriorate before the tread wears down. I don't put nearly enough miles on them in the cold months and this year should be significantly less.

    let's see some pics!

I've got a set of white powdercoated 15" Legacy 6-spokers wrapped in almost-new Blizzaks, but they aren't going on the car 'til we start getting actual snow. No sense wearing 'em out on dry pavement!

I'll shoot some pics eventually; should look pretty sweet on my all-white debadged winter beater with painted sideskirts... assuming the whites don't clash. Aww crap, I haven't painted the hubcaps yet.

Nokian Hakka RSi on 16" steelies on the Altima.

The same Goodyear A/S the truck has rolled on for years and years and years.

tha's so funny! i just had this crazy feeling that i should tend to my winter wheels. spent about 3 hours preppin and paintin earlier this evening. they were gold but now they're more bronze. i've got 215/55/16's dunlop wintersport M3's on stock rims. on second season, very little wear.

I'd like to see pics of that on the 09!

I will be running the same gunmetal-sprayed RS 6 spokes and Nokian Hakka RSi's as last year. I barely wore the #8 wear indicator off in their first season.

Now I need to shop for some 225 width summer tires. After 40,000mi and lots of abuse on the RE92's, they aren't much fun anymore.

Funny I have same set up but 17" Conti Extreme. First time trying those tires in snow. Will see, don't want to buy winter tires this season yet.

you are gonna love those tires, I hand them for the entire winter last year and they worked great!

I just mounted up my 03 stockers and Ipikes tonight, woke up this morning to find that there is a winter storm warning for our area!! Bring on the snow! Also found some of my pin striping and made my black stockers into time attack theme:biggrin: Look pretty dang good.

I put my setup on last weekend. Hakka RSIs (205/50/16) on gold RS 6 spokes. I will take some new pictures and throw them up soon.

I hate this hot weather. I want it to drop down below 40 so I don't need to worry about melting all my good tread away.

I still want to paint my stockers with i-pikes - just haven't decided on a color. I think I want to keep it dark to go with my java black pearl.

I tossed on my LM-25s last week. They're 16" steelies, so it's the first time I've ever had hubcaps on my Subaru. No pic right now, but I'll grab a shot tomorrow maybe and toss it up. So far in the dry, I'm liking the LM-25s a good bit. Behavior and grip is decent. Now I just have to wait for snow...

How did you paint the red ring on your wheels? carefully? or is there an easy way?

I did the stripe in 10 min on all four wheels, its a secret method no one will even know!

Its actually 1/4 inch pin striping that I put on the wheels while they were on the car, the black was looking just too plain. It looks really good in person and you can't tell its not painted on, either.

Get some cutting boards from ikia or some other place and make your own mud flaps, the flexable cutting board work great mine are rally armor but the boards are my nice buy if these ever break!

It was clean until Saturday when I went on a little road trip. I turned down a dirt road thinking it was the right road, well it wasn't. So knowing that my car was already dirty I decided to have some fun.
