    they claim it's a world record pirhana, but from my acknowlegde, it kinda look like a Giant African Tiger fish.....and of course they are cichlids species

    That's one of the hybrids being engineered at 33.1. Looks like they have gone ahead with the pilot and released it into the wild. Can't imagine what they won't eat. No more water bufflow crossing the river anytime soon.

    this is a cichild named "tigerfish" has occasionally been used for species of cichlid in the genus Rhamphochromis. These are large, silver-colored fishes that may have one or two black horizontal lines running the length of the body. These fish are native to Lake Malawi, in Africa."
